SECOND TICKET AUCTION BEGINS FRI 1 FEB 10AM EST
After the amazing success of Auction 1 back in October, raising an astounding $450,000, Axwell, Steve Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso from Swedish House Mafia present Auction number 2 for The Black Tie Rave.

You are cordially invited to an intimate Black Tie Rave on February 28th 2013 in a town that’s played a huge role in their career – New York City. As the band roll in to play a sold out Madison Square Garden and 3 Barclay Centre shows, we stop off first at the legendary Hammerstein Ballroom to raise money for both the after math of Hurricane Sandy and now also for Save The Children.

“During the process of planning the Black Tie Rave, the Newtown tragedy happened and we decided that as we had already raised more money than we had hoped for, that we would add Save The Children to the list of charities who will benefit from this event. Their work helping children who have suffered violence of all kinds is incredible and it felt right to bring them into what fundraising efforts we can achieve through this tour.”

50% of the Funds raised from Auctions 2 & 3 will go to Save The Children, the world’s leading independent organization for children, will join the national dialogue on gun control, the provision and availability of mental health services, and violence in society in the wake of the school massacre in Newtown, Connecticut on Dec. 14th. Their goal is to use their experience in advocacy, their seven decades of serving poor and vulnerable children in the U.S., and their commitment to children’s protection and rights to inform and influence both the dialogue and the policies that will emerge as the nation addresses issues that have a direct impact on the safety, security and well-being of its citizens—especially children.

The other 50 % will be shared between The Mayors Fund to Advance New York City and the New Jersey Relief Fund. Two local Not-For-Profit organizations working towards a safer and better future for those affected in the aftermath of Hurricane Sandy, and for New Yorkers in general.

Auction 2 starts February 1st 2012 at 10AM EST. Ticket links will appear on this site beforehand and will of course be listed on Facebook and Twitter.

This Rave is not for the feint hearted. Dress Code is strict. Black Tie and Ball Gowns. So whether you buy something new, vintage or just go and borrow something…if you fail to turn up in Black Tie or Gown we may still turn you away!

This event is for over 21’s and some of the alcohol sales in the venue will also go to the charities. Naturally the band are receiving no fee, our crew will be working for free, there will be no free guest list and most of our suppliers are already committing to free or at cost supplies…all of which will be named and thanked on this web site as we get closer to the show.

So... New York City.
